Exporting a Finished Video from Premiere Pro

Step 1: Access Export Settings

File > Export > Media or Ctrl+M / Cmd+M. Close other apps to improve rendering.

Step 2: Choose Sequence Settings

The destination platform determines export settings. Use Match Sequence Settings for exact matching.

Step 3: Select Format and Codec

H.264 is the best setting for web playback — used for 80-90% of typical exports.

Step 4: Fine-Tune Settings

• Enable Render at Maximum Depth
• Use VBR, 2-pass bitrate encoding
• Set Maximum Bitrate to double the Target Bitrate
• Verify both video and audio export boxes are checked

Step 5: Choose Export Method

Queue to Media Encoder for background processing or export directly from Premiere Pro.

Step 6: Save Custom Presets

Save frequently-used settings as reusable presets.
