Why use this MP3 Cutter?

  • Stream-copy preserves the original MP3 bitstream — output is bit-identical to the source between trim points.
  • Frame-accurate seek inside MP3 frames (typically 26 ms granularity).
  • No upload — privacy-sensitive recordings stay on your device.
  • Works on any MP3 size browser memory can handle.

FAQ

Will the cut introduce silence at the boundaries?

A few ms of silence is possible because MP3 frames are ~26 ms long and the cutter snaps to frame boundaries. For sample-accurate edits, convert to WAV first using the Audio Converter.

Does it preserve ID3 tags?

Yes — title, artist, album, and cover art tags are copied to the trimmed output.

Does this run in my browser?

Yes — the tool uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your file never uploads to a server, never leaves your device, and there is no signup or watermark.
