What "advanced" actually means here
Advanced work is rarely a harder version of the same task. It is compositing, node-based grading, sound design built from layers rather than a music bed, and decisions about format and delivery that have to be right the first time. There is one article at this level so far, and the honest answer is that the section is still being written — the intermediate path is where the depth currently is.
| Sound design is a build | Atmosphere, foley and silence are placed deliberately, layer by layer. It is the one advanced skill that improves ordinary footage most. |
|---|---|
| Grade with nodes | A node graph exists so a correction can be isolated, reused and undone. A stack of adjustment layers cannot be reasoned about the same way. |
| Deliver to spec | At this level the delivery format is a requirement handed to you, not a preference. |
